AirTrain is a ground effect vehicle (GEV). AirTrain utilizes the law of fluid dynamics, ground effect, which will allow the aircraft to fly closer to the surface. It will be easy as driving a bus or easier because of the on board computer systems. AirTrain will have the power to go in and out of ground effect. Ground effect engines will propel the vessel forward. As it moves forward the wings create lift but at the same time it creates vortices, as shown in the diagrams below. The vortices are fully formed at altitude and it does not affect the vessel. However, the vortices get compressed near the ground. It reduces the drag and increases the lift.
